Kid Chess Coach is a chess learning app for children and families. Core lessons, puzzles, games, progress, and the chess coach work offline without an account.

Information You Provide

Kid Chess Coach does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, school, birthday, photo, precise location, or account login.

Parents can optionally buy the one-time Remove Ads product through Google Play. Google processes the payment. Kid Chess Coach receives only the purchase status needed to unlock the ad-free entitlement and does not receive or store payment-card details.

Local Progress Data

Kid Chess Coach stores learning progress and settings locally on the device using Android DataStore. This can include solved and missed puzzles, selected modes, stars, streaks, accuracy, hint usage, daily goals, game history, and parent settings. This learning data is not uploaded to us and is not used for advertising.

Local progress remains on the device until a parent resets it, the app is uninstalled, or device storage is cleared.

Child-Directed Advertising

The free version may show a clearly labelled banner advertisement on the Home screen. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are not shown on puzzle boards, lesson boards, or during chess games.

Ad requests are configured as child-directed, under the age of consent, non-personalized, and limited to Google's G-rated ad content. Kid Chess Coach removes the Android advertising-ID permission and does not use ads for behavioral profiling or remarketing.

Google Mobile Ads may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, and measure ads, such as IP address and approximate location derived from it, app and device information, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Google acts under its own privacy policy and applicable child-directed advertising requirements.

Parents can remove advertising with a one-time Google Play purchase and can restore that purchase on devices using the same Google Play account.

Children Privacy

Kid Chess Coach does not include user accounts, chat, messaging, public profiles, social sharing, or analytics SDKs. The app does not sell personal information. Child learning progress is not shared with advertisers.

Internet Access

An internet connection is not required for lessons, puzzles, local games, progress, or the chess coach. Internet access is used only for optional Google Play purchases, purchase restoration, consent handling where required, and loading advertisements in the free version.

Local Chess Coach

The optional chess coach engine runs locally on the device when available. Chess positions, moves, puzzle progress, and imported games are not sent to a server for analysis.

Security

Learning progress is stored locally using Android platform storage. Network communication with Google services uses encrypted connections provided by their Android SDKs.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
