Kid Chess Coach is an offline chess learning app for children and families. The app is designed to work without accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or internet access.

Information We Collect

Kid Chess Coach does not collect personal information.

The app does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, location, school, birthday, photo, or account login.

Local Progress Data

Kid Chess Coach stores learning progress locally on the device using Android DataStore. This local progress may include:

• solved puzzle IDs
• missed puzzle IDs for Review Mistakes
• selected puzzle mode
• stars, streak, and accuracy
• hint usage
• daily puzzle limit and daily solved count
• local settings such as sound, haptics, large board, reduced motion, legal-move dots, and coach toggle

This data stays on the device. It is not sent to us, uploaded to a server, sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Children Privacy

Kid Chess Coach is intended to be child-friendly. The app does not include:

• ads
• in-app purchases
• user accounts
• chat or messaging
• social sharing
• analytics SDKs
• behavioral tracking
• external links inside the child learning flow

Parents or guardians can control settings such as daily puzzle limits and progress reset.

Offline Chess Coach

The optional chess coach engine runs locally on the device when available. Chess positions, moves, and puzzle progress are not sent to the internet for analysis.

Some devices may use the built-in local practice engine when the native engine is not available. This also runs locally.

Internet Access

Kid Chess Coach is built to work offline. The app does not require internet access for puzzles, lessons, games, progress, or coach features.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data.

Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to share with advertisers, analytics providers, or third-party services.

Data Retention and Deletion

Progress data remains on the device until:

• the parent or guardian resets progress inside the app
• the app is uninstalled
• the device storage is cleared

Security

Progress data is stored locally using Android platform storage. No internet transmission is required for normal app use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app changes. If we add any feature that collects personal data, requires an account, uses analytics, shows ads, or sends data online, this policy should be updated before release.
